William "Bill" E. Giles

William “Bill” E. Giles, 82 of Assumption passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 8:57 p.m. at his home in Assumption, IL. He was born on August 31, 1939 in Decatur, IL the son of Rev. C. Evertt and Beulah (Bledsaw) Giles. He was married to Paula McLeod for 33 years. Bill was the Chief of Police in Assumption, he worked at the Assumption Tire Co-op and GSI in Assumption. The family would like to thank all the friends and families for all their prayers.

He is survived by his Wife: Paula of Assumption; Brother: Lyle (Carol); Children: Debbie, Cindy, Brenda (Dennis), Carla (Frank), Janet (Richard), Ronald (Tamara), Kristy (Luke) along with several grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers: Jerry and Richard.

Family graveside services will be Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Pleasant Cemetery with Pastor Leon Geoff officiating.
