Wilber "Wib" Burdette Ladson

Wilber “Wib” Burdette Ladson, 79 of Mt. Auburn passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 5:17 p.m. at his residence in Mt. Auburn. He was born on August 7, 1937 in Bloomington, IN the Son of Bert and Ruth (Stevens) Ladson. He married Gertie Brown his high school sweetheart on June 30, 1956 in Merom, IN. He worked as the Owner and operator of Ladson Pumping and Completion serving the oilfield industry. Wilber loved Spending time his with family and fishing. He was an avid Chicago Cubs Baseball fan, and Indiana Basketball Fan.

Surviving are his Wife Gertie of Mt. Auburn; Son: Carl (Linda) Ladson of Mt. Pulaski; Daughter: Sue (Dave) Hesse of Forsyth, Jana Ladson of Forsyth; Grandchildren: Justin (Crystal) Hesse of Decatur, Jason (Melissa) Hesse of Mt. Zion, Zackary Ladson of Mt. Pulaski; Great-Grandchildren: “Known as Papa Wib by Samantha and Lucas”; Brothers: Larry (Norma) Ladson of Mechanicsburg IL, Donnie (Mary) Ladson of Mechanicsburg IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Son Steven, 1 Brother, 4 Sisters.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 11:00-1:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. The funeral service will follow the visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Dan Armstrong officiating. Burial will be held in Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Mt. Auburn, IL.
