Robert D. Travis

Robert D. Travis, 75 of Taylorville passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 5:09 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. He was born on November 5, 1943 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Bert and Jeannette (Bouwkneqt) Kugels Sr. He married Sharon Durbin-Stewart on January 12, 2011 in Taylorville, IL. Robert mowed for the Taylorville golf course, was the owner of Taylorville Taxi and was a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his Wife: Sharon Travis of Taylorville, IL; Sons: Steve (Celia) Walker of Litchfield, IL; Brian Kugels and Companion Erin Evans of Nokomis, IL; Mark Stewart of Taylorville, IL; Daughters: Gail (John) Cox of Pana, IL; Amanda Stewart and Fiancé Blake Simmons of Taylorville, IL; Eight Grandchildren; Eleven Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Son: Gary Dean Travis and Brother: Bert Kugels.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Memorial Service will follow the visitation starting at 7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Eric Stilwell officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
