Reginald E. Mansfield

Reginald E. Mansfield, 58, Taylorville, died at home on July 16, 2015. Reginald was born on August 15, 1956, in Taylorville and was a 1974 graduate of Taylorville High School.  He was an alumnus of the University of Illinois at Springfield and Eastern Illinois University. He greatly enjoyed watching professional sports, especially the LA Lakers and the Chicago Bulls, and attending family gatherings for birthday parties and holidays. His other interests included American history, music, and fine arts. He had attended Temple Israel in Springfield.    

He is survived by his Daughter: Elizabeth Mansfield-Barrett of Denver, CO;  Sons: Aaron E. Mansfield of Denver, CO and Joshua Mansfield of Bulpit, IL; Grandchildren: Liam E. Mansfield, Evelyn A. Mansfield; Brothers: Gregory Mansfield of Chicago, IL, Bradley A. Mansfield of Taylorville, IL, Matt Mansfield of Washington, DC, Nathan A. Mansfield of Springfield, IL; Sister: Brenda Brookens of Taylorville, IL; Nieces: Heather Voelz of Taylorville, IL; Holly Parker of Decatur, IL; Regan Mansfield of Springfield, IL and Melissa Mansfield of Springfield, IL. He is preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Thora Mansfield. 

A celebration of his life and reception will be held at the University of Illinois extension hall 1120 N. Webster in Taylorville, IL at 5:30PM. Tuesday July 21, 2015.  Inurnment will take place at a later date. 

Memorials may be made in his memory to the Christian County Historical Society at P.O.
