Ralph Burgener

Ralph Burgener, 72 of Sullivan formerly of Owaneco passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Sullivan Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Sullivan, IL. He was born on April 16, 1949 in Decatur, IL the son of Edward and Dorothy (Riley) Burgener. Ralph worked as a farmer and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Assumption and Assumption Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his sisters: Mary (Leonard) Helmerichs of Pawnee, IL and Barb Bolser of Nebraska; brothers: Bob (Deborah) Burgener o f Taylorville, IL Charles (Margaret) Burgener of Taylorville, IL; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters: Jean Fuentes and Susan Burgener.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Assumption, IL.
