Paula J Burkhart

Paula J. Burkhart, 88 of Taylorville, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 10:15 a.m. at her home in Taylorville, IL. She was born on April 25, 1931 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Samuel Curtis Rush and Emma Paula (Ficker) Cryer. She married Donald E. Burkhart Sr. in Blue Mound, IL and he preceded her in death on October 9, 2012. Paula was a member of the Taylorville United Methodist Church and the Christian County Senior Center. She loved camping, gardening and her farm. She loved her children, grandchildren and family.

 She is survived by her Sons: Donald (Carolyn) Burkhart Jr. of Blue Mound, IL and William (Cherie) Burkhart of Taylorville, IL; Daughters: Diane Marts of Taylorville, IL, Becky (George) Buerk of Owaneco, IL and Debbie Burkhart of Charleston, IL; Fourteen Grandchildren; Twenty-Four Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel Rush and Emma (John) Cryer, husband Donald E. Burkhart, son: Robert Dale Burkhart, 1 brother and 3 sisters.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Stonington Cemetery in Stonington, IL with Pastor Becky Lembke officiating.
