Patricia Ann Hartel

Patricia Ann Hartel, 89 of Springfield formerly of Taylorville passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 8:06 a.m. at her granddaughters’ home in Springfield, IL. She was born on May 18, 1931 in Hillsboro, IL the daughter of Parker and Helen (Minnis) Kious. She married William Hartel on December 18, 1949 in Taylorville, IL and he preceded her in death on December 27, 1995. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Taylorville.

She is survived by her Sons: William (Kelly) Hartel of Potosi, MO; Steven (Virginia) Hartel of Springfield, IL; Wayne (Theresa) Hartel of Springfield, IL; Grandchildren: Heather Janes of Montana, Stacey Fournier of Tolono, IL; Patricia Hartel of Springfield, IL; Craig Hartel of Farmington, MO; John Hartel, Kari Hartel and Sagan Pluth all of St. Louis, MO; Benjamin Hartel of Springfield, IL and Olivia Hartel of Springfield, IL and Nine Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Son: Jim Hartel and brothers: Robert Kious and Parker Len Kious. 

Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Grove City Cemetery in Grove City, IL with Pastor Becky Lembke officiating.

Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
