Ora "Ed" E. Craig Jr.

Ora “Ed” E. Craig Jr., 56 of Janesville, WI formerly of Taylorville lost his battle with cancer on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at 7:48 p.m. at Mercy Hospital in Janesville, WI. He was born on June 21, 1966 in Taylorville, IL the son of Ora E. Craig Sr. and Virginia M. (Wessel) Craig. He      married Cheryl Wilson on September 27, 1986 in Taylorville, IL. Ed loved everything outdoors especially, fishing, hunting, and Mushroom hunting which he did all his life.  He loved his family and his dogs. He was an avid movie Buff and liked to read. Ed worked as the Warehouse Manager at McLane and Manufacturing Supervisor Lavelle in Whitewater, WI. Ed graduated from Taylorville High School in the Class of 1984.

He is survived by his wife: Cheryl Craig of Janesville, WI, daughter: Cassandra Craig of Belleville, WI; son: Christopher Craig of Euless, TX; mother: Virginia Craig of Taylorville, brother: John (Marlene) Craig of Moweaqua, IL; sister: Lori (Mike) Walter of Owaneco, IL; several nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Ora E. Craig Sr, grandparents Ora F. and Mary Craig, John and Phyllis Wessel, nephews Justin Craig and William Walter. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation starting at 2:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with John Craig officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery in rural Edinburg, IL.
