Mary L. Hafliger, 90 of Taylorville passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 3:15 a.m. at her residence in Taylorville. She was born on July 10, 1927 in Taylorville, IL the daughter of John and Mary (Babich) Simaly. She married John Hafliger on February 23, 1952 in Taylorville and he preceded her in death on April 28, 1988. Mary retired as a secretary from Sangamon Card Company in Taylorville and she was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylorville and the Taylorville Chapter of the Catholic Daughters of America.

Surviving are her Niece: Donna (Jim) Hurtte of Evansville, IN and Several Great Nieces, Great Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, 3 Brothers and 3 Sisters.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylorville, IL. Funeral Mass will follow the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylorville, IL with Msgr David S. Lantz officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.
