Martha Lorene Diel

Martha Lorene Diel, 76 of Taylorville passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 12:45 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. He was born on April 30, 1941 in Taylorville, IL the Daughter of James D. and Claudia (Knowles) Murphy. She retired from Sangamon Paper Company and she also worked at Jubelts. Martha was an avid collector of Jewelry and Light houses.

Surviving are her Nieces: Beverly Walker of Taylorville, IL; Denise (Randy) Gentry of Decatur, IL; Great Nephews: Edward (Elizabeth) Walker of Mt. Vernon, TX; James Daniel Murphy of Taylorville, IL; Great Nieces: Sarah (Nick) Werries of Bluffs, IL; Clair Gentry of Decatur, IL; Two great-great nephews and Sister-in-Law: Barb Duncan of Taylorville, IL. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Brother: Donald Murphy.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home and a Memorial Service will follow the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bill Kerns officiating. Inurnment will be held at Fraley Cemetery in Taylorville, IL.

Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
