December 14, 1954 — November 1, 2019

Marshall Douglas Lowe, 64 of Taylorville passed away on Friday, November 1, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at his home in Taylorville, IL after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 14, 1954 in Chicago, IL the son of William H. and Virginia M. Lowe. He married Donna Simpson on November 5, 2005 in Taylorville, IL. Marshall was the owner of Lowe’s Paving & Sealcoating and he was a member of the Moose Lodge #1516 in Taylorville. Marshall was known for his very strong work ethic. He started his business with a tank in the back of a pickup truck and over 20 years of hard work and determination, built it into a very successful paving, sealcoating and striping business. When he wasn't out working with asphalt, you could find him at home working on any number of projects. He enjoyed spending time outside working in his yard, gardening, woodworking, and building birdhouses with his grandchildren and nieces and nephews. His favorite spot was the deck that he built with his grandson overlooking the creek in his backyard. Above all else, he loved his family and they loved, admired and respected him. He was a force in their lives, and his absence will leave a void that can never possibly be filled.

He is survived by his Wife: Donna J.
