Madeline Rose Wilson-Eson

Madeline Rose Wilson-Eson, 91 of Taylorville passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 8:15 a.m. at Taylorville Care Center in Taylorville, IL. She was born on July 27, 1930 in East Peoria, IL the daughter of Abe and Thelma (Rine) Wilson. She married Laverne “Soapy” Eson on January 16, 1949 in Taylorville, IL and he preceded her in death on January 31, 2018. She retired as a cook in the Cafeteria at the Taylorville Junior High School. Madeline was a member of the VFW Post #4495 ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was loved by many and she took care of her family.

She is survived by her daughters: Deborah (Jack) Ryan of Kincaid, IL; Cinda Eson of Plymouth, MN; Granddaughter: Shauna Konecny of Minneapolis, MN; Sister: Beverly Susing of Jerseyville, IL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 2 brothers: Robert and Richard.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday October 13, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville with Pastor Tiney Walker and Father Tony officiating.
