Kenneth Martin

Kenneth Kyle “Kenny” Martin, 23, of Taylorville, IL, passed away on November 30, 2022, at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, PA; Kenny was born on December 6, 1998, in Springfield, IL, the son of Donnie and Rhonda (Miller) Martin.

Kenny is survived by his parents; one sister, Brenda Martin of Athens, IL; nephews, Payton Hicks and Owen Stoye; maternal grandfather, S.J. Miller and paternal grandmother, Mary Ann Smith; Kenny was also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Geraldine and William Thompson and paternal grandfather, Harold Smith.

Kenny was a proud member of the South Fork Dirt Riders of Taylorville, IL; he enjoyed being covered in mud while riding four wheelers, mudding at the South Fork Track, and camping at the current river. He also enjoyed being able to deer hunt with his grandpa at his farm, as well as hunting at Sangchris Lake.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022, from 4:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville, IL. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home, with Rev. Gerald McPhillips officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Edinburg Cemetery in rural Edinburg, IL.
