Kenneth C. Kettelkamp

Kenneth C. Kettelkamp, 79, of Nokomis, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 1:24 p.m. at Taylorville Memorial Hospital in Taylorville. He was born on October 19, 1932 in Nokomis, IL the Son of Edgar and Freida (Schneider) Kettelkamp. He married Aleta L. Beaty on  March 4, 1962 at South Fork United Methodist Church in rural Nokomis. He was a retired prison Guard at Hillsboro Correctional center and a farmer. 

He is survived by his Wife: Aleta Kettelkamp of Nokomis, Son: Carl (Lori) Kettelkamp of Nokomis, IL; Alan (Lori) Kettelkamp of Norman, OK; David (Kiana) Kettelkamp of Springfield, IL; Grandchildren Leanne (Kyle) Gehrs, Amanda Kettelkamp, Britton Kettelkamp, Erica Kettelkamp, Destiny Kettelkamp, Chris Kettelkamp, Clayton Kettelkamp, Jay Kettelkamp, Oscar Kettelkamp, Sophia Kettelkamp, Marco and Susu; Great-grandchildren: Keegan and Brayson. Sisters: Frances Pray of Coffeen, IL and Marilyn Bauman of Nokomis, IL Several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Daughter: Donna Kettelkamp, Granddaughter Jessica Kettelkamp, Sister Georgia Janssen, Brother-in-Laws: Dale Janssen, Paul Bauman and Dwight Pray.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at South Fork United Methodist Church in Rural Nokomis. Burial will be in Kettelkamp Cemetery in Rural Nokomis, IL with military graveside honors. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis.

Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis is assisting the family with arrangements.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Although I only worked with Ken a short time I found him to be a good man and fine officer. It was a pleasure to have known him and to have worked with him.

Our sincere condolences and prayers to all of you regarding the loss of our beloved cousin. I've always been blessed and proud to say that Ken was a part of my family. We shared a profession that he diligently and honorably served. Please know the he left this world a better place by all of the good that he had done. May God Bless and Comfort you all, during this difficult time.
