Kay Myers

Kay Myers, 71 of Stonington passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 11:20 p.m. at her home in Stonington, IL surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 4, 1949 in Taylorville, IL the daughter of Joe and Opal (Barham) Coleman. She married John L. Myers on August 28, 1967 in Taylorville, IL and he preceded her in death on December 28, 2011. Kay retired as a custodian from the Stonington School. She was a wonderful mother, and grandmother to her family and to many children at the school.

She is survived by her Son: John A. (Robin) Myers of Mattoon, IL; Granddaughters: Kayla Myers of Champaign, IL and Cydney Myers of Mattoon, IL; Brothers: David (Mary) Coleman of Decatur, IL; Sisters: Vera (George) Thomason of Stonington, IL, Pearl (Eldon) Weaver of Taylorville, IL and Barbara Coleman of Decatur, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: Charlie, Donald and John Coleman; Sisters: Sue Farrell and Phyllis Blades.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home with Albert Walters officiating. Burial will be in Old Stonington Cemetery in Stonington, IL.
