Julia P. "Judy" Zeitler

Julia P. “Judy” Zeitler, 84 of Taylorville passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. at Meadow Manor Skilled Nursing and rehabilitation Center in Taylorville. She was born on February 28, 1932 in Taylorville, IL the Daughter of Chester and Elva (Brookens) Cook. She married Delmar C. “Zeke” Zeitler on June 10, 1950 in Taylorville, IL and he preceded her in death on March 31, 2016. Judy worked as a Purchasing Agent for Georgia Pacific and later she worked as a secretary in the Taylorville City Clerk’s office.

Surviving are her Son: Mike (Lori) Zeitler of Taylorville, IL; Grandchildren: Jeremy (Colleen) Zeitler of Naperville, IL; Kurt Zeitler and Companion Caitlin Donovan of Taylorville, IL; Great-Grandchildren: Ava, Mazy, Van and Amelia; Sisters: Rosetta (Jack) Neal of Phoenix, AZ, Marcia Shelite of Pana, IL; Brothers: Bob Cook of Cheyenne, WY and Larry Cook of Belleville, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Brothers: Stanley Cook and Leroy Cook; Sisters: Minnie Griffin, Elizabeth Murray and Janice Beck.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. The funeral service will follow the visitation starting at 10:30 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Rev. Tom Belegante officiating. Burial will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, IL.
