Juanita Fern Cassidy

Juanita Fern Cassidy, 88 of Keysport, IL formerly of Nokomis, IL passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019 at 11:30 p.m. at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, MO. She was born on December 15, 1930 in Hillsboro, IL the daughter of Drexel and Romelta “Becky” (Beckmeier) Neisler. She married James Leo Cassidy on November 15, 1947 in Mayfield, KY and he preceded her in death on January 7, 2019. Juanita worked as a Farmwife and a CNA for 30 years at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Taylorville. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Nokomis, IL, LWML at Messiah Lutheran Church and Royal Neighbors.

Surviving are her Son: James Brad Cassidy of Nokomis, IL; Grandchildren: Jacqueline Sue Garvey (husband Mark) of Columbia, MO and Jason Leo Cassidy of St. Louis, MO; Great-Grandchildren: August Leo Garvey of Columbia, MO and Autumn Patricia Garvey also of Columbia, MO; Nieces and Nephews: Craig Cassidy, Karen (husband Ivan) Benning, Carol (husband Jim) Hempen and Cathy (husband Dave) Vincent, Becky Neisler and Drexel Neisler. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother: Myron Neisler and sister: Barb Caulk.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nokomis, IL. Funeral Service will follow the visitation starting at 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nokomis with Pastor Bert Eickhoff officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery in rural Nokomis, IL.
