Joyce Y. Snyder

Joyce Y. Snyder, 86 of Taylorville passed away on Wednesday, October 26^, 2022 at 11:39 p.m. at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, IL. She was born on August 28, 1936 in Taylorville, IL the daughter of Julian A. “Nip” and Vivian L. (Rine) Sautelet. She married Frank G. Snyder on May 2, 1959 in Jerseyville, IL. She worked as a homemaker. She was the owner of Snyder’s tropical Fish and Exotic Animals, having many different animals throughout the years. Towards the end of her life she loved her family and Dogs Jesse and Roxie.  

She is survived by her Sons: Kevin F. (Angela) Snyder of Bonita Springs, FL; Robert Snyder Sr. of Taylorville, IL Daughter: Vicki Snyder-Hristov of Taylorville, IL; Sisters: Janet Chamness of Taylorville, IL and Nancy Sautelet of St. Petersburg, Missouri; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special friends: Lindsey Passoni and Angie Wicker. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Sisters: Julia Eloise Stephens and Mary Millman; Brother: Keith Sautelet.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 31, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville, IL. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Doug Chamness officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Taylorville.
