Joyce Kay Morrissey

Joyce Kay Morrissey, 53 of Taylorville passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 10:15 p.m. at her nephew’s home in Taylorville, IL. She was born on November 10, 1967 in Carrollton, IL the daughter of Albert Wayne and Brenda Kaye (Goodman) Hamm Sr. She married Thomas E. Morrissey and he preceded her in death on September 6, 2008. She worked as a private in-home care provider.

She is survived by her sons: Matt and Michael Morrissey; grandchildren: Derek, Maelee, Brody and Maecin; sisters: Sally Delahunt, Marsha (Jason) Long; brother: Albert Hamm; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister: Tina (James) Tirpak.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation starting at 11:30 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.
