John L. Blake Jr.

John L. Blake Jr. of Nokomis, IL passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020 at 4:33 a.m. at Pana Community Hospital in Pana, IL. He was born on July 17, 1967 in St. Louis, MO, the son of John L. and Wilma (Hazeltine) Blake Sr. John was a steel worker by trade.  He was a very caring and giving man who loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife; Elizabeth of Nokomis, IL, son; Nick Blake of Highland, IL, daughter; Candis Blake of Gillespie, IL; grandchildren: Grace and Michael Blake and he was a loving neighbor, friend and brother-in-law.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

John will be cremated, due to the Covid-19 virus a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis is assisting the family with arrangements.
