John L. Blake Jr.

John L. Blake Jr. of Nokomis, IL passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020 at 4:33 a.m. at Pana Community Hospital in Pana, IL. He was born on July 17, 1967 in St. Louis, MO, the son of John L. and Wilma (Hazeltine) Blake Sr. John was a steel worker by trade.  He was a very caring and giving man who loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife; Elizabeth of Nokomis, IL, son; Nick Blake of Highland, IL, daughter; Candis Blake of Gillespie, IL; grandchildren: Grace and Michael Blake and he was a loving neighbor, friend and brother-in-law.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

John will be cremated, due to the Covid-19 virus a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis is assisting the family with arrangements.

I did not know this gentleman, but I am offering a prayer to God for his family and loved ones. May all find comfort in God's loving arms. He is free of pain and worry now.

Im so sorry for your loss. May the God of all comfort help you during this difficult time. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4 & Psalms 83:18). Jesus prayed for Gods Kingdom to come because He knew it would be able to solve all mankinds problems even death. (Revelation 21:4,5 & Daniel 2:44).
