Janet L. Fulk-Nolan

Janet L. Fulk-Nolan, 82 of Taylorville passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 3:03 p.m. at Taylorville Memorial Hospital in Taylorville, IL. She was born on January 16, 1940 in Blue Mound Township, IL the daughter of Eldo and Mary Emily (Steck) Harrell. She married Hallie L. Fulk on October 26, 1968 and he preceded her in death on July 3, 1992. She then Married Larry L. Nolan on February 8, 2002 and he also preceded her in death on February 24, 2022. Janet was a very devoted mother and Grandmother, being very active in her Children’s and Grandchildren’s Life. Janet was a devoted member and deaconess of the First Baptist Church in Taylorville until it closed. She was also a member of Christian County Home Extension. Janet would not miss an Illinois Basketball game that was on tv and she was also an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.  

She is survived by her daughter: Theresa Stade of Divernon, IL, son: Hallie “Butch” Fulk and companion (Sally Badman) of Taylorville, IL; grandchildren: Adam, Aubrey and Lauren Stade; Kylie Badman and Kailyn Fulk; great-granddaughter June Dallas Peden-Stade; brother: Robert Harrell of Pekin, IL and sister: Beverly Weitekamp of Morrisonville, IL, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and her sister Mary Nolan.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor James Jones officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.
