James Norris

James H. Norris, 90 of Taylorville passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 7:05 a.m. at Taylorville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylorville, IL. He was born on July 6, 1930 the son of James W.and Myrtle (Bryan) Norris in Owaneco, IL. He was an Army veteran and served during the Korean War and he spent his life farming on the family farm. James is survived by several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Harriet Norris. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor James Jones officiating. Interment and military graveside honors will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, IL.
