Iva Dean Boastick

Iva Dean Boastick, 90 of Palmer formerly of Chatham passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 9:07 p.m. at Taylorville Memorial Hospital in Taylorville, IL. She was born on August 8, 1930 in Celina, TN the daughter of Rich and Bonnie (Cunningham) Eads. She married Estel “Bud” Ramsey and they later divorced. She then married Robert Boastick on May 19, 1979 in Woodside Methodist Church in Springfield, IL and he preceded her in death on March 14, 2010. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Ferry for many years. Iva Dean loved attending the M&M Ladies Bible study at the Morrisonville Baptist Church where they would make lap robes for the nursing homes and she was a member since 1999. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and the new home she built in Palmer. She looked forward to her niece Judy calling on Sundays and her visits from Doug and Anna. Above all she loved the Lord and longed for the day to see her daughter Vickie and grandson Scotty.

She is survived by her Grandchildren: Chad (Jenny) Foster of Palmer, IL; Great-Grandchildren: Seth, Gabby and Sophie Foster all of Palmer, IL; beloved niece Judy (John) Latta of Effingham, IL; beloved nephew: Douglas (Anna) Cherry of Cookeville, TN, niece: Becky Eads, nephew: Jack Eads, great-niece: Heather (Marty) Latta of Effingham, IL and great nephews: David Latta of Effingham, IL and William Cherry of Moss, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter: Vickie Ramsey-Foster, grandson: Thomas Scott Foster, sister: Dorothy Cherry, Brothers: Willie, Harold and William “Heavy” Eads.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville with Pastor Chad Foster officiating.
