Irene Vidmar

Irene Vidmar, 92 of Taylorville passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 8:25 a.m. at Life’s Journey Senior Living Center in Taylorville. She was born on December 14, 1924 in Washtenaw County, MI the Daughter of Joseph and Emma (Stoltzheimer) Lindemann. She married William M. “Bill” Vidmar on August 19, 1945 in Ann Arbor, MI. She worked as a housekeeper at St. John’s Hospital and she was also the bookkeeper for Vidmar’s Plumbing and Heating. Irene was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville and she enjoyed Gardening, Sewing, Quilting, playing cards (Euchre), baking, Cooking and being a homemaker.

Surviving are her Son: Gerald W. Vidmar of Taylorville, IL; Daughters: Carol Ann Hall of Oklahoma City, OK; Linda Vidmar of Taylorville, IL; Grandson: Chris Peters of Taylorville, IL; Sisters: Irma Weidmayer of Manchester, MI; Laura Walker of Cantonsville, MD; Sisters-in-Law: Gladys Lindemann of Mountainhome, AR, Wanda Blount of Taylorville, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Brother Dean Lindemann, Sister: Gladys Lindemann.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville. The memorial service will follow the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville. Inurnment will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, IL.
