George Joseph Leitshuh Jr.

George Joseph Leitshuh Jr., 78 of Taylorville passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 10:05 p.m. at Capital Care Center in Springfield, IL. He was born on February 7, 1938 in Muncie, IN the Son of George Joseph and Alice (O’Toole) Leitshuh Sr. He married Lynnda Ann Dean on July 13, 1968 in Oak Forest, IL .  He was a retired Truck Driver.

Surviving are his Wife: Lynnda of Taylorville; Daughters: Amy Leitshuh of Seattle, WA; Melanie (Curtis) Ryen of Taylorville, IL; Grandchildren: Elijah (Stacie) Sowder, Victoria Sowder, Alexis Ryen, Morgan Ryen, Mathea Ryen; Great-Grandson: Christopher Sowder; Sister: Jane Harnett of Bloomington, IN; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his Parents.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 3540 Lincoln Tr. Taylorville, IL 62568.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 3540 Lincoln Tr. Taylorville, IL 62568 with Robert Mitchell Officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date..
