Gary Ray

Gary Ray, 61 of Mt. Auburn passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 10:45 a.m. at his residence in Mt. Auburn. He was born on November 23, 1955 in Monterey, CA the Son of  John and Beatrice (King) Ray. He married Nadine Turnbow on March 5, 1977 in Sullivan, IL. Gary worked as an Architectural Draftsman and later at Masterbrand Cabinets in Arthur.  

Surviving are his Wife Nadine Ray of Mt. Auburn, IL; Daughters: Jennifer (Eugene) Dickey of Pana, IL; Aimee (Kent) Beck of Mt. Auburn, IL and his service dog Jake; Grandchildren: Zara Beck and Zamon Beck of Mt. Auburn, IL; Reine Ray and Canyon Dickey of Pana, IL; Father: John Ray of Sullivan, IL; Sisters: Janet (Rick) McFarland of Sullivan, IL; Brenda (Scott) Weaver of Mattoon, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his Mother Beatrice Ray, and several Aunts and Uncles.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Taylorville with Pastor Steve Switzer officiating. His ashes will be spread in Wyoming and California.
