Ethel May Crawford, 93 of Taylorville passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 4:20 a.m. at Meadow Manor Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylorville. She was born on December 13, 1923 in Irving, IL the Daughter of Otis C. and Rosa M. (Eddington) Eddington. She married Walter “Bud” Crawford on October 29, 1945 in Irving, IL and he preceded her in death on April 13, 2001. She worked as a homemaker and she loved to work on crossword puzzles, sweepstaking and gardening. Surviving are her Daughters: Connie Downs of Taylorville, IL; Carol (Patrick) Shields of Macon, IL and Shirley (Frank) Marcogliese of Kincaid, IL; Grandchildren: Bobby (Michelle) Stone, Shari Stone, Gina (Joey) Shellenbarger, Dawn Ray and companion John Noreiul, Erik Ray and Nick Marcogliese; Great-Grandchildren: Nikki Stone, Cassie Dees, Bradley Davis, Jacob Davis and Kellen Marcogliese; Great-Great Grandchildren: Jayden Stone, Ryland and Ryker Stone, Caiden Beech, Jaymes Erin Bishop, Mekya Lackey, Cody Lackey and Sky Lackey; Sister-in-Law: Doris Crawford of Macon, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, Husband and Sister: Dorothy Scheifer. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral service will follow the visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Cody Frazier officiating. Burial will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.
