Elaine Marie Mills-Molen Obituary (1924 - 2015)

Elaine Marie (Tachel) Mills-Molen, 91, of Taylorville, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015 at 1:55 p.m. at Taylorville Care Center in Taylorville. She was born February 26, 1924 in Kincaid, IL, the Daughter of Jules and Marie (Delmaal) Tachel. She married Ralph Mills on August 1, 1941 in Taylorville and he later preceded her in death on March 13, 1978. She then married Norman Molen in November of 1981 and he also preceded her in death on April 1, 2006. She worked at the Illiopolis ammunition plant during World War II and in 1979 she worked for 20 years at Sandy’s Dress Shop. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Taylorville. She is survived by her Daughters: Judy (Ernest) Eggerman of Carthage, TX; Sandy (Bill) Boyd of Taylorville, IL; Sharon (Lester) Southard of Blue Mound, IL; Son: Bill (Treva) Mills of Branson, MO; Grandchildren: Terry (Dennis) Brown; Tim (Betty) Britcher; Travis (Kaire) Southard; Carolyn Wetzel; Marla Dowdell; Mandy (Chris) Boyd-Owens; Michelle (Gary) Parks-DeClerck; JoAnna (Dennis) Griffiths; Leslie (Troy) Pencak; Mike Boyd; Debbie (Terry) Black; Doug (Hanna) Eggerman; Dwayne Eggerman; Chrystal (Josh) Hendrix; Bill (Trish) Mills; Chance (Heather) Mills; Thirty Seven Great-Grandchildren; Twelve Great-Great-Grandchildren; Five Step-Grandchildren; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and two sisters: Renee Huston and Maggie Huston. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Gerald McPhillips officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, IL. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville.
