Dorothy "Maxine" Bramel

Dorothy “Maxine” Bramel, 79, of Mt. Auburn passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 3:07 p.m. at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, IL. She was born on April 5, 1940 in Roby, IL the daughter of Bud and Laura (Powers) Ealey. She married Don Henderson and he preceded her in death. She then married Frank Bramel on February 14, 1965 in Mt. Auburn, IL. Maxine loved to quilt, knit, crochet and gift her creations to friends and family. She served on the funeral dinner committee in Mt. Auburn and was a member of the Mt. Auburn Church of Christ.  

She is survived by her Husband: Frank Bramel of Mt. Auburn, IL; Daughter: Darla (Mark) Cochran of Blue Mound, IL; Son: Don (Susan) Henderson of Mt. Auburn, IL; Grandchildren: Cody Henderson, Libby Campbell and Rhilee Cochran; Great-Granddaughter: Brynlee Maxine Campbell, Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, first Husband and thirteen siblings.  

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Auburn Church of Christ in Mt. Auburn. Memorial Service will follow the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Auburn Church of Christ with Pastor Dan Armstrong and Pastor Mike Smith officiating. Inurnment will be held in Mt. Auburn Cemetery at a later date.
