Doris I. Hastings

Doris I. Hastings, 91 of Taylorville passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at 4:00 a.m. at Taylorville Memorial Hospital in Taylorville, IL. She was born on May 11, 1927 in Taylorville, IL the daughter of Harry Nelson and Martha Isabelle (Carter) Hunt. She married Matt Busby in 1947 and he preceded her in death. She then married Ted Hastings in 1999 and he also preceded her in death. Doris worked as a cook in the Friendly Café in Danville and later at a nursing home in Decatur.

She is survived by her Brothers: Wilbur Hunt of Chatham, IL; Wesley Hunt of Canyon Lake, TX; Sisters: Barbara Ann Fehrman of Nashville, IL; Carolyn Hunt of Nokomis, IL; Patricia Hunt of Nokomis, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husbands, Sisters: Norma Ostrow, Harriett Stanley, Mary Lou Lipe, Brothers: Hubert Hunt, Lloyd Hunt.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 25, 2019 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Memorial Service will follow the visitation starting at 2:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville, IL. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Graceland Fairlawn Cemetery in Decatur, IL.
