Denis J. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Patricia Ganey, and his sister Kathleen Ganey (Judy Teague).

Denis was a proud graduate of St. Mary School and Taylorville High School in Illinois, where he lived before moving to Georgia, in 1977.  In 1972 his retail career began at Marblestone’s Clothing.  Customer service was his life’s work. He believed all people deserved kindness and respect. Denis was known among his peers for his generosity. His career in retail management included 15 years with Kmart, followed by 25 years with Walmart stores along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

So sorry to hear of Denny’s passing. Denny was a great guy, and I have so many fond memories of him and of the Ganey family. Given Denny’s experience at Marblestone’s, I’m not surprised he had a successful career at retail. RIP Denny.

Sending along my deepest sympathies to the family.
I have so many great memories of growing up with Denny.
Denny and I went to many concerts Eagles, Bob Segar, Journey , ZZTop, YES, Alice Cooper and some bad ones too :) he loved concerts and would be first in line to get us tickets.
His Buick or my Vega would get us there too!
What a lovely family - I remember always interrupting the family at dinner time and they invite me in anyway.
Rest In Peace my friend

Dennis was a one in a million kind of person I knew him for almost 20yrs. His smile and laughter could light up a room. I still have the walmart old school shirts he use to wear that he gave me . He was not only my boss but a good friend especially when my husband died. I will truly miss him

He was, as were all the Ganey kids, always sweet, always polite. You all came by it naturally. I'm so sorry for your loss of yet another dear sibling too soon. Be grateful for each other. Fondly,

My heartfelt sympathy to his family, friends and co-workers. May the beautiful memories shared throughout his life always bring smiles and comfort.
