Dean Lupton

Dean Lupton, 70, of Nokomis passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 6:53 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. He was born on October 17, 1950 in Shelbyville, IL the son of Carl F. “Curly” and Florence E. (Schwerdtfeger) Lupton. He married Brenda Howell on January 26, 1974 in Nokomis, IL and she preceded him in death on October 17, 2006. Dean was the manager of Main Street Federal Auto Parts in Taylorville from 1974-2000 and then worked at GSI from 2000-2018.

He is survived by his Sons: James (Wendy) Lupton of Edinburg, IL and Jason (Angie) Lupton of Nokomis, IL; Companion: Barb Dulceak of Nokomis, IL; Grandson: Coby Lupton of Nokomis, IL; Sisters: Donna Lupton of Shelbyville, IL; Brothers: Jim (Cheryl) Lupton of Vandalia, IL; John (Kathy) Lupton of Springfield, IL; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and Sister: Vivian.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis, IL. Private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in Nokomis Cemetery in Nokomis, IL.
