David Hugh Stone

David Hugh Stone, 90 of Pana formerly of Taylorville, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 6:20 a.m. at Heritage Health Care Center in Pana, IL. He was born on June 23, 1930 in Waverly, IL the son of Richard and Nellie (Lash) Stone. He married Norma A. Porter on June 10, 1950 in Springfield, IL and she preceded him in death on October 6, 2007. David owned Stone Janitor Service and he also was employed by the Taylorville School District as a janitor for several years. He was a member of the Shelbyville and Carlinville Horseshoe Clubs.

He is survived by his Sons: David T. Stone of Columbia, MO; Randy (Leigh) Stone of Springfield, IL; Danny (Jessica) Stone of Mattoon, IL. Nine Grandchildren. Twenty-four Great Grandchildren and One Great Great Granddaughter as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter: Peggy A. Bruns, Son: Ronnie D. Stone; Brothers: Charles Stone, Frank Stone, Grover Stone, Sisters: Ethel Wallbaun, Jeanette Moore

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville, IL. Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation at 4:00 p.m. in Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville, IL with Pastor Bob Cook officiating.

Inurnment will be held in Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, IL at a later date.
