David Eugene Mann

David Eugene Mann, 77 of Taylorville passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 10:05 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. He was born on December 1, 1940 in Kincaid, IL the Son of George Willard and Lola Mae (Smith) Mann. He married Judith Westbrook on October 13, 1962 in Taylorville, IL. He worked as a coal miner at Peabody Mine #10 and he also worked for Bill Mann Builders. David was steadfast in Faith and family, he loved watching the Cubs especially the 2016 World championship. He valued his church family. Fishing and Golfing were two past times he enjoyed with his sons. His pride and joy are his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, supporting their interests and achievements gave him many years of fulfillment and happiness.  

Surviving are his Wife: Judith Mann of Taylorville, IL; Sons: Scott (Jackie) Mann of Kincaid, IL; Steven (Tracey) Mann of Kincaid, IL; Daughters: Shauna (Kevin) Becker of Taylorville, IL; Anita (Ronald) Brown of Taylorville, IL; Tricia (Harold) Marburger of Taylorville, IL; Cherished niece: Debra Mann; Grandchildren Trenae (Brent) Smith; Heather (Kyle) Nizzio; Eric and Jason Handegan; Elizabeth (Jakob) Brown; Steven Mann Jr.; Austin and Bradlee Marburger; Step-Grandchildren: Jordan (Ross) Smith; Jamie Becker and Companion William Jones and Josh (Michelle) Becker; Great-Grandchildren: Monroe Nizzio, Edwin Smith; Step Great Grandchildren: Ethan Smith, Alisa Becker, Levi Jones and Grayson Smith; Brothers: Harold (Marian) Mann of Salina, KS; Bill (Joeline) Mann of Taylorville, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Sister: Gloria Taylor, Brother: Shirley “Boots” Mann.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral service will be on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Kincaid Church of God with Pastor Jacob Skelton officiating. Burial will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.
