David Alan Anker Sr. Obituary (1944 - 2015)

David Alan Anker Sr., 71, of Edinburg, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 8:38 a.m. at Taylorville Memorial Hospital in Taylorville, IL. He was born May 20, 1944 in Danville, IL the son of Carl and Ruth (Watson) Anker. He married Janet Francis Hill on June 30, 1979 in Chatham, IL and she later preceded him in death on November 12, 2011. He retired as a Mechanical Engineer for Illinois Bell and then he was the owner and operator of Sangchris Corner. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Sharpsburg, IL. He is survived by his Daughter: Alisha Dawn Anker of Springfield, IL; Son: David “Alan” Anker Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA; Step-Daughter: Heather (Eric) Kohl of Edinburg, IL; Grandchildren: Jordan Moore of Austin, TX; Daniel and Rowley Anker of Milwaukee, WI; Brother: Roger (Marilyn) Anker of Oakwood, IL; Nieces: Michelle Evans of Shelburne, VT and Connie Young of Oakwood, IL. He was preceded in death by his Parents and his wife. Private Family services and Inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church 1919 N. 1000 East Rd.
