Cecil Howard

Cecil Howard, 88 of Taylorville passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 10:16 p.m. at his home in Taylorville, IL. He was born on December 15, 1930 in Mud Luck, KY the son of Cecil Monroe and Betty Jane (Bray) Howard. He married Bonnie Howard on September 26, 2002 in Chatham, IL. Cecil was a retired salesman and owner of Naturals and Arlene's Deli on the Taylorville Square. He was a Marine Veteran of the Korean War and he earned a purple heart. He was involved in the Senior Olympics up until he was 81 years old and he loved to play golf.

He is survived by his Wife: Bonnie Howard of Taylorville, IL; Son: Gary Howard of Vandalia, IL; Daughter: Linda Howard of Florida, Nine grandchildren; Step-Sons: William L. Dodson of Riverton, IL; Christopher Michael Dodson of Springfield, IL; Step-Daughter: Melissa Renee’ Bryant of Springfield, IL; Sisters: Ruth and Doris; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his Parents, and 1 son.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville, IL with Pastor Don Bettis officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
