Catherine "Char" Charlene Johnson

Catherine “Char” Charlene Johnson, 71, of Taylorville, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 at 9:45 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born March 27, 1944 in Taylorville, IL, the Daughter of Harold J. and Eula (Stewart) Johnson Sr. She worked as a Floral designer at Ann’s Flowers, the Garden Center and Betty and Bobs.  

She is survived by her Sisters: Janet (Faron) Brown of Taylorville, IL; Anna (Jerry) Chance of Taylorville, IL; Brother: Harold “Butch” (Suzie) Johnson Jr. of Taylorville, IL; Aunts: Pat Price of Colorado Springs, CO; Ida (Bernard) Declerck of Stonington, IL; Dorothy Peters of Taylorville, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents and Grandparents: Charles and Mae Stewart; Dewey Johnson and Anna Matthews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Rev. Tiney Walker officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville.
