We just heard of the loss of your husband/father/grandfather/friend. I wish we could make the trip to see you as time has let us drift apart. Byron was a special man. Charlie, I often remember the Monday evenings he would spend with us in our U of I dorm room. He always treated me like part of your family (as a distant cousin, I guess I am). A great sense of humor. He was obviously very proud of his children. A great man and role model that will be missed.

We are thinking of you!

Rossie and I are so sorry to hear of Byron's death. I have known him since high school and over all of these many years. He and I also drove on occasion for Gordon's Olds and we would always have nice visits during those trips. Nora, you and Byron's family, will be in our thoughts and prayers during this time of your bereavement. He was always a good man and one that we would always enjoy visiting when we would meet.
