Alfreda Zachery Obituary (1931 - 2020)

Alfreda Zachery, 89 of Taylorville passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020 at 8:34 p.m. at Piatt County Nursing Home in Monticello, IL. She was born on January 14, 1931 in Crab Orchard, KY the daughter of Corsa and Clara (Griffin) Harris. She married Rodney Zachery on January 11, 1946 in Crab Orchard, KY and he preceded her in death on April 9, 2008. Alfreda worked as a housekeeper and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Taylorville. She is survived by her Son: Garry (Margaret) Zachery of Cerro Gordo, IL; Grandchildren: Lynn (Matthew) Miller; Owen and Hope; Great-Grandson: Zackery Miller of Knoxville, TN; Sister: Edith Zwahlen of Kentucky; Brother: Ray (Wilma) Harris of Florida; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother: Earl Harris and sister: Betty Osterman. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL with Pastor Gerald McPhillips officiating.
