Aimee Sutton

Aimee Sutton, 33 of Taylorville passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at 6:45 p.m. at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, IL. She was born on June 24, 1986 in Springfield, IL the daughter of Timothy and Debora (Young) Sutton. Aimee worked as an underwriter for Wells Fargo where she was on the United Way Committee and she was also a member of the Taylorville University Women’s Association. 

Even though she was only with us for 33 short years, she lived life to the fullest.  Her positivity was infectious, and she was the light in many people’s lives.  She never knew a stranger and would always put others first.  She was the absolute model of a caring, thoughtful and sweet daughter, granddaughter, sister, and aunt.  She enjoyed winning at water volleyball, playing Texas Hold Em, and baking delicious treats for all to enjoy.  Above all else, Aimee loved her family and friends and valued every moment she spent with them. 

She is survived by her Parents: Tim (Debbie) Sutton of Taylorville, IL; Brother: Chad (Heather) Sutton of Taylorville, IL; Niece: Claire Sutton of Taylorville, IL; Aunts and Uncles: Myra Sue McChristy of Dublin, OH; Jerry (Beth) Sutton of Edinburg, IL; Terry (Rhonda) Sutton of Richland Center, WI; Bradley Young of Dwight, IL; Heather (Jason) Drake of Charleston, IL; maternal grandparents: Sandi Frisina of Taylorville and Robert (Margaret) Young of Arlington, TX. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Myron and Cecelia “Celi” Sutton; Aunt: Robbie Sutton.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Taylorville with Shane Sims officiating. Private inurnment will be held at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, IL.

In Lieu of Flowers Memorials may be made to the Riley Hospital for Children 705 Riley Hospital Dr. Indianapolis, IN 46202.

Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
